PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device in which play in every direction of a key top is surely eliminated and is reduced in size and thickness, and the number of parts are decreased. SOLUTION: The switch device comprises a switch member 20 having a switch contact; a case 60 mounted on the switch member 20 and including a pressing section 65 while interposing hinges 67, 67, the pressing section serving to press the switch contact; and a key top 90 mounted on the pressing section 65. The case 60 is mounted on the switch member 20 in a state where it presses the switch contact (specifically, a click plate 50) such that the pressing section 65 does not make the switch contact on. In the outside of the case 60, there is disposed a guide mechanism serving to freely guide the vertical movement of the key top 90. In the guide mechanism, guide members 93, 93 disposed on the key top 90 are engaged with guide grooves 71, 71 formed on the outer surface of the case 60, in such a manner that the guide members can be moved upward and downward.
