PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily treatable and inexpensive optical element for a laser in which the degree of freedom of the design of the whole laser device can be increased. SOLUTION: A microlens array 4 as an optical element for a laser is arranged near a semiconductor laser array 2 as a light source for excitation having a plurality of light emitting points 10a. The microlens array 4 is provided with an optical substrate 12 formed of crystal, a plurality of lens parts 14 formed at the incident side of the optical substrate 12, and a plurality of lens parts 16 formed at the outgoing side of the optical substrate 12. In this case, the lens part 14 and the lens part 16 are shaped like a toric so that curvature radiuses in orthogonal directions can be made different. Then, laser beams for excitation are formed of the group of a plurality of independent laser beams emitted from the microlens array 4. |
