PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and a timer which assure easier decomposition and assembling and also easier maintenance. SOLUTION: An electronic device is formed including a power generator 30 which is driven with a mechanical energy source 1a coupled via wheel train to generate an induced power in view of supplying electrical energy and an engaging position of a pinion 22a of the rotor which rotates in coupling with rotation of wheel train and gear of the wheel train is allocated in the side of a base plate 2 rather than the positions of the stators 37, 38 of the power generator 30. Therefore, even if a fault is generated, the power generator having comparatively a large amount of causes of fault can be inspected by removing a wheel train receptacle 23. Therefore, decomposition can be easily realized to assure easier maintenance.
