PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically correctable a program mounted on a computer equipment being the target of program correction only by inputting a program correction file from the outside part to the computer equipment. SOLUTION: This program correcting device is provided with a correction file holding means for storing and holding a program correction file inputted from the outside part. At the time of the shut-down of a computer equipment, whether or not the program correction file is stored and held by a correction file holding means is checked, and when the program correction file is stored and held, a program mounted on the computer equipment is corrected based on the data of the program correction file. After the program is corrected, the program correction file stored and held by the correction file holding means is deleted.
