FRONT END OF SIDE VIEW TYPE ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front and of a side view type endoscope which allows the fine adjustment of an observation optical axis in the lateral direction. SOLUTION: An objective lens 16 and an image guide fiber bundle 20 are mounted on a lens barrel 14 by offcentering relatively the axis of the lens and the axis in the front end part of the bundle. The lens barrel 14 is inserted into a lens barrel insertion hole 10 freely rotatably around its axis and is provided with a lens barrel fixing means 22 which fixes the lens barrel 14 into the lens barrel insertion hole 10 in the position where the lens barrel has been rotated an arbitrary angle.
