PURPOSE: A method is provided to allow a television mode to be automatically switched to a video mode or a radio frequency(RF) mode according to connection status between a video cassette recorder(VCR) and the television during the view of the VCR. CONSTITUTION: A decision is made to detect that Ez-Link source is determined during the power on of the television. If no the Ez-Link source is determined, an automatic determination process for the Ez-Link source is performed. After the automatic determination process for the Ez-Link source is performed, the determination for the Ez-Link source is again detected. Wherein, if no the Ez-Link source is determined, OSD guide message is displayed, which represents that the Ez-Link is connected incorrectly. If the Ez-Link source is determined, a decision is made to determine whether it is equal to the status of EZ-LINKLASRRAM, the mode is automatically switched according to the determined result. The Ez-Link source is EZ_AutoChk. |
