PURPOSE: An apparatus for combining linear amplifiers of a base station is provided to reduce an economical loss, and make it simple and convenient to change a linear amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A pilot tone generator(12) generates a pilot tone for matching linear amplifiers(4,6,8,10) with each other. Phase detectors(14,16,18,20) are connected to the linear amplifiers(4,6,8,10), respectively, so that phases of communication signals applied through the linear amplifiers(4,6,8,10) can be detected. A control monitor part(22) outputs phase control signals for matching the phases of the communication signals, in response to phase detection signals applied from the linear amplifiers(4,6,8,10). The control monitor part(22) outputs gain control signals for matching a gain and amplitude of the communication signals. Phase shifters(24,26,28,30) shift phases of the communication signals in response to the phase control signals from the control monitor part(22). Gain amplitude control parts(32,34,36,38) controls the gains and amplitudes of the communication signals in response to the gain control signals.
