<p>The invention provides medicinal articles comprising a plurality of elongate absorbent flexible filaments radiating from a core region. Preferably, at least 50 filaments radiate from the core region in angularly offset planes to provide space filling as well as absorbency. The invention also provides the use of such articles for the treatment of deep wounds and for soft tissue cavity filling.</p> |
