METHOD FOR REFINING HOT METAL USING SENSIBLE HEAT IN TLC

PURPOSE: A method for refining hot metal is provided to prevent deficiency of heat source according to the addition of cold pig metal and the pick-up of £S|in a converter and remove problems according to the deficiency of the amount of hot metal by injecting the cold pig metal into a TLC (torpedo ladle car) before tapping the hot metal after the post-slag off. CONSTITUTION: In a method for refining hot metal tapped from the blast furnace process into molten steel in a converter, the method for refining hot metal comprises the steps of receiving the hot metal tapped from the blast furnace into a TLC (3); injecting cold pig metal into the hot metal in the TLC; pretreating the hot metal to which cold pig metal is injected; and manufacturing molten steel by injecting the pretreated hot metal into a converter, wherein the cold pig metal injected into the TLC is in the amount range of 10 to 15 tons per a TLC, the cold pig metal is injected into the TLC before the tapping step after the step of post-slag off, and a fixed chute (21) is used for injecting the cold pig metal into the TLC.
