GAS BLOCKING POLYESTER FILM

PURPOSE: A gas blocking polyester film is provided which has excellent basic properties such as mechanical strength, heat-resistance, chemical-resistance and size stability, particularly very good gas isolating property. And it is thus useful as various packing materials, coating materials and protecting materials. CONSTITUTION: The gas blocking polyester film consists of: (i) a first polymer resin layer which is made of polyester having a limit viscosity of 0.55-0.75 deciliter per gram; and (ii) a second polymer resin layer which is laminated on one side of the first polymer resin layer and is made of polyester thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer.
