METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OLIGOSACCHARIDES FROM INSOLUBLE POLYSACCHARIDES

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing oligosaccharides from insoluble polysaccharides. Thereby it is possible to use higher concentration of agar substrate in the manufacturing process of agar-oligosaccharide and consequently to mass-producing agar-oligosaccharide. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing oligosaccharides from insoluble polysaccharides is characterized by the following steps of: i) mixing 20g of insoluble polysaccharides with 50-150ml of distilled water at room temperature and dissolving the mixture at 60-140 deg.C for 30 minutes at 1.2-1.5 hPa; ii) cooling the mixture at 20-23 deg.C slowly to make gel; iii) mashing the gel through a sieve of 20-70 mesh for 30 minutes to obtain substrate for agar; and iv) reacting the substrate with protease to obtain oligosaccharides.
