FLASH MEMORY SHARING BOOTING AND APPLICATION PROGRAMS IN SYSTEM AND MEMORY UPDATING METHOD FOR THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A flash memory sharing booting and application programs in a system and a memory updating method for the same are provided to use only portion of the flash memory so as to enable the booting program to share the flash memory with the application program. CONSTITUTION: The flash memory includes a booting program region and an updatable application program region. The booting program region is allocated to store the booting and diagnosis program on a predetermined number of sector basis. The booting program region further includes a region for downloading the application program which is to be updated, a region for calling a flash access function which records downloaded application program, the flash access function which is programmed with assembly codes and a region which performs flash memory erase and record routines shifted to DRAM(dynamic random access memory).
