Process for manufacturing a two component injection moulded article

A first component (1) with a projection (11) forming an undercut (6) is produced in a first tool (3) and in a second tool (4) a second component (2) is injected onto the first and engages in the undercut. The projection is molded so that when mounted in the second tool the latter presses the free end (11a) of the projection slightly into the undercut. The free end is then flush with the face of the second molded component and there is no flash at the transition area. An Independent claim is also included for a flat component produced by the process. Openings produced in the first component by the first tool are filled by material of the second component and naps formed on the rear face.
