PURPOSE: An automatic transmission case prevents oil leakage through a contacting surface between a transmission case and a clutch and gear housing. CONSTITUTION: A groove(12) is formed on a contacting surface(16, 17) between a transmission case(10) and a clutch and gear housing(11). An oil absorbing capsule(13) of a ring form is installed in the groove, which is naturally positioned on the lower portion of the groove(12) and absorbs oil accumulated in the lower portion of the groove(12) leaking from the gear housing due to gravity. The automatic transmission having the groove(12) and the oil absorbing capsule(13) prevents oil leakage with absorbing and accumulating it. |
