摘要 PURPOSE: A structure for lubricating a turbocharger is provided to supply oil to a rotating shaft and to prevent oil from draining even when an engine is stopped. CONSTITUTION: A turbocharger includes a bearing case(7) whose lower portion is a space(10). The space is divided into two parts via an oil film(11). A wide lower portion of the oil film has the shape of a funnel covering an oil outlet(13) with an inner space(10a). The oil delivered from an oil pump flows into an oil inlet(8) of the bearing case. The oil is supplied to bearings(6) via oil passages(9) and collected in the lower space(10). The oil in the space overflows if an oil level rises to an upper inlet of the oil film and returns to an oil pan via the upper inlet, the inner space and the oil outlet. when an engine stops, the inflow of oil via the oil inlet is stopped and the oil in the lower space is isolated via the oil film. Therefore, the oil is prevented from draining to the oil outlet. Accordingly, the lubrication and cooling of a rotating shaft(5) is possible and the efficiency of lubrication and cooling is improved through oil scatter blades(14) scattering the oil in the space.
