<p>Preparation of a water-alcohol mixture (A), of given final alcohol content, by mixing alcohol and water (or a mixture of one composition with water or a mixture of a different composition) at a particular temperature, in which the final (or initial) mixture has a precisely known volume. The process includes, by taking into account the complete and partial contractions of the volumes of mixtures, establishment of a table consisting of many pairs of values, over the entire 0-100% composition range, relating alcohol content (in volume %) to density at a constant temperature. Alternatively, it involves calculation (with a mathematical formula that describes the content of alcohol as a function of density), for a given alcohol content, either the corresponding density (or vice versa) or other parameters that have a mathematical relation with the above values, e.g. weight %, volume contraction of mixture volume. These values are used to determine the mass (or volume) of starting liquid required for preparation of (A) of a particular content, optionally with predetermined volume. An Independent claim is also included for a device for performing this process.</p> |
