PURPOSE: A gearshift control method calculates a driver's will and change of driving condition to determine gearshift for optimal fuel economy and power performance. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises four steps. The first step(S110) is to detect sloping degree of a road on driving to determine whether the road is a plane or a sloping road. The second step(S120, S130) is to detect the throttle valve opening amount and choose between an economy mode and a power mode according to the detected throttle valve opening amount. The third step(S140, S160) is to set an economy mode upshift point and determine gearshift stage according to the set economy upshift point to output appropriate gearshift control signal if the throttle valve opening amount detected in the second step(S120, S130) is of the condition for the economy mode. The fourth step(S150, S160) is to set a power mode upshift point and determine gearshift stage according to the set power upshift point to output appropriate gearshift control signal if the throttle valve opening amount detected in the second step(S120, S130) is of the condition for power mode. |
