PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to prevent a low pressure chamber from high vacuum by bypassing refrigerant of a high pressure chamber to the low pressure chamber when a compressor is driven without supplying the refrigerant into the low pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION: Refrigerant gas is not sucked into a low pressure chamber(13) when a compressor is driven with a clogged pipe(21) or a closed valve(20) of an outdoor unit. In the abnormal running of the compressor, compressed refrigerant is not discharged to a refrigerant discharge hole(16b) and the valve is contacted with the upper surface of a fixed scroll(16). The valve is moved downward from a valve guide unit(19a) of a stopper(19), and a high-pressure refrigerant inlet hole(19c) and a high-pressure refrigerant guide hole(19d) are met with a discharge pressure groove(20a) of the valve. The high-pressure refrigerant of a high pressure chamber(14) is bypassed into the low pressure chamber through the high-pressure refrigerant inlet hole, the high-pressure refrigerant guide hole and a communication hole(16c) of the low pressure chamber sequentially. The bypassed high-pressure refrigerant flows into a pocket(18) to be compressed again. Thereby, the low pressure chamber is prevented from high vacuum to prevent a motor from an electric leakage or the compressor from damage by hot heat.
