PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet head in which power supply lines connected with piezoelectric elements can be checked for disconnection readily in a relatively short time. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an ink jet head comprises a step for forming a plurality of power supply lines 4, connected in series with resistors 5 and with a piezoelectric element 2 on one end side, on the upper surface of a substrate 1 arranged with a plurality of piezoelectric elements 2 such that at least adjacent power supply lines are jointed commonly on the side closer to the piezoelectric element 2 than the resistor 5, a step for checking the power supply lines 4 for disconnection by bringing probers 9a, 9b into contact with the other end of the power supply lines 4 and measuring the wiring resistance between the power supply lines jointed commonly, and a step for cutting the power supply lines 4 at the common joint 6 to individualize the power supply lines 4.
