PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new protection component so as not to damage an automobile wheel by contact or the like with a curb or the like, and to utilize the protection component for positively enjoying its design. SOLUTION: This flat ring-like protection component of a synthetic resin or a rubber is covered over a peripheral edge part of a rim of the vehicle wheel and a portion of a side part of a tire. The inside of the protection component is formed with a protrusion. By inserting the protrusion into a gap between the peripheral edge part of the rim and the tire, the protrusion can be crimped by air pressure of the tire. Because the protection component has flexibility in width, color or the like, the protection component also has a function as an accessory part visually balancing the whole vehicle. |
