PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inferiority in a quality of a ribbon layer since a difference between the ribbon layer and a nonsuch layer is still large in unreeling performance in a post-process, for example, high speed unreeling though a ribboning on a package external appearance is so far almost solved by many ribboning preventive methods. SOLUTION: In the constitution for winding yarn on a package 3 by traversing the yarn by traverse grooves 11 formed on a traverse drum 6, the plural continuous traverse grooves 11 different in the winding number are formed on the traverse drum 6. A means 24 is arranged for switching a yarn guide of the yarn, and by which traverse groove among the plural continuous traverse grooves 11 different in the winding number the yarn is traversed is constituted so as to be switched. A detecting means of a ribboning generating diameter is arranged to control so as to change the winding number of the traverse drum 6 in the vicinity of the ribbon winding generating diameter.
