PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of the glass which is good in heat resistance and easy in thermal tempering treatment and, therefore, can be applied to the PDP glass substrate and/or to the A-class fire protecting door through thermal tempering treatment. SOLUTION: The glass is produced with the following composition in percentage by mass: SiO2; 62-68, Al2O3; 1.5-<15, B2O3; 0-5, Na2O; 8-12, K2O; 0-6, MgO; 5-8, CaO; 7-10, SiO2+Al2O3; 68-75, Na2O+K2O; 8-12, MgO+CaO; 12-19.
