PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight polypropylene resin extruded plate-shaped foam excellent in heat insulating characteristics. SOLUTION: In a polypropylene resin extruded plate-shaped foam, 40% or more of the cross-sectional area of the foam is occupied by the sum total of cells with a cell size of 0.25-0.6 mm and cells with a cell size of 1.0-2.0 mm, and 10-80% of the cross-sectional area of the foam is occupied by cells with a cell size of 0.25-0.6 mm.
