PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating box body for simplifying a structure and reducing a cost by reduction in a using quantity of a steel plate while maintaining sufficient strength to a collision of a ship. SOLUTION: Reinforced 3 concrete layers 2b, 2c are placed on an outside surface of a steel box body 1B composed of a steel bottom plate 1b and a steel side wall plate 1c to constitute a main box body 1B having a hybrid structure, and a reinforced 3a concrete layer 2a is arranged for covering an upper opening of the main box body 1B to complete a floating box body 10.
