PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite core for thin tatami sufficient in bending rigidity, free from any troubles including the warp, and favorable as a core material of the thin tatami having a thickness of 12 to 15 mm. SOLUTION: A cardboard 12 is adhered entirely to both sides of a synthetic resin foam plate 11 having a thickness of 3.5 to 6.5 mm using an adhesive with a skin layer 11a and a bonded layer 11b on a face side and an intermediate portion, respectively so that the total thickness is <=9 mm.
