The invention relates to an expandable balloon (1) for balloon catheters (8). The inventive balloon comprises a balloon body (2) which can be converted from a folded-up state (A) to an expanded unfolded state. The balloon body (2) is provided with an outer surface (3) when in the expanded state (B). Areas (4-7) having a high friction coefficient and areas (10-13) having a low friction coefficient are arranged on said surface (3). The balloon body (2) is provided with an outer surface (9) when in the folded-up state (A). At least mostly exclusively areas (10-13) having a low friction coefficient area arranged on said outer surface (9). |
