Device for housing and retaining objects ( 1 ) to be displayed, comprising a fixed upright ( 10 ) housing at least one rotating element ( 20 ) in the form of a circle segment, the circumference of which consists of an annular edge ( 22 ) extending over a centre angle such as to define an empty arc with a suitable centre angle, the outer surface of the annular edge ( 22 ) being provided with teeth ( 23 ) extending over a suitable angular section and able to engage with means ( 30 ) for transmission of the movement to the said rotating element ( 20 ), so as to cause a rotation of the latter able to bring the free end ( 22 a) of the annular edge ( 22 ) from a first angular position at a distance from the fixed upright ( 10 ) into a second angular position in contact with the said fixed upright ( 10 ) and vice versa.
