PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which offset is prevented even when the print speed is increased by absorbing only the liquid solvent of ink adhering onto a sheet. SOLUTION: The ink absorber 130 of an imaging apparatus 100 comprises a liquid solvent absorber 130b for absorbing the liquid solvent of ink, and a mold releasing member 130c covering the surface of the liquid solvent absorber 130b at least partially and passing the liquid solvent of ink while exhibiting mold releasing properties for the coloring agent of ink. Simultaneously with adhesion of ink onto a sheet S or immediate thereafter, the liquid solvent absorber 130b is brought close to a part of the sheet where ink is adhering while holding the mold releasing member 130c in order to absorb the liquid solvent through the mold releasing member 130c. The coloring agent and the liquid solvent of the liquid ink are in phase separation state at least on the sheet.
