PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin having sufficient resistance to thermal shock of hardly being broken by a normal temperature change when the resin is applied to an insert-molded product. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant polyester resin composition is obtained by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin having a polyalkylene naphthalate resin as a main constituent component, with (B) 0.5-80 pts.wt. agent for imparting impact resistance, (C) 5-200 pts.wt. inorganic filler, (D) 1-30 pts.wt. halogen-containing organic flame-retardant and (E) 1-20 pts.wt. inorganic flame retarding auxiliary.
