PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a container wherein a lid can be attached and detached easily without dropping an O-ring and high airtightness can be insured. SOLUTION: The sealing structure of a container comprises a sealing structure which keeps airtightness between a container body 1 and the lid 2 by the O-ring 3. The container body 1 is formed as a bottomed cylinder with an external thread 15 inscribed at an upper end, and its upper end rim 14 is formed as a slope inclined toward an outer periphery. The lid 2 is formed as a cylinder with a top with an internal thread 25 inscribed on an inner peripheral surface, and a shallow groove 21 for inserting the O-ring is formed on an inner peripheral surface of its internal corner. The O-ring 3 which is inserted into the shallow groove 21 is relatively pressurized by the upper end rim 14 of the container body 1 toward the internal corner of the lid 2 with the lid 2 fastened.
