摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trolley wire that is strong, excellent in heat resistance, and operable at high speed even in a tunnel. SOLUTION: This trolley wire is so constructed that a steel wire has, over the periphery, a heat-resistant copper alloy coating layer of composition containing 0.03 to 0.10% by weight of Ag and the remainder of Cu and unavoidable impurities, or a heat-resistant copper alloy coating layer of composition containing 0.05 to 0.25% by weight of Sn and the remainder of Cu and unavoidable impurities. A method of manufacturing for the trolley wire is to coat, by conformal coating, a steel wire with the heat-resistant copper alloy coating layer of either composition, and next draw or roll it.
