PURPOSE: A vacuum booster is provided to reduce size, weight and cost by reducing the number of components and changing the sealing structure. CONSTITUTION: A front shell(1) has a flange(25) on the front end, and the front end of a rear shell(3) is attached to the inner portion of the front shell. The front end of a diaphragm(5) is fixed between the front shell and the rear shell. Since a flange portion(27) is formed on the front end of the diaphragm, tight sealing state is kept without bending of the shells. The front end of the rear shell is combined to a sealant(31), and a boot(29) is combined to the sealant. The sealant connects the rear shell with the boot and tightly seals a vacuum chamber.
