PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for switching a board being mixedly mounted in a fiber loop carrier are provided to perform a protection switching by being mixedly mounting a board providing a DS3 signal and an E1/T1 signal in a fiber loop carrier equipment. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring task(10) checks a hardware inferiority, a board inferiority, a signal inferiority and non-receiving out of switching conditions. An interrupt condition polling task(12) checks a physical switching as a power off and a board replacement. The monitoring task(10) and the interrupt condition polling task(12) checks a switching condition at an interval provided from a timer mask(16). The interrupt condition polling task(12) checks a physical switching condition by performing a periodical polling in the case that an interrupt service routine(18) sets the physical switching as a power off as an interrupt condition corresponded to the corresponding switching. If the monitoring task(10) and/or the interrupt condition polling task(12) checks the switching conditions, a checking signal, a TRI1 board switching control unit(20) and a TRI3 board switching control unit(22) perform a switching of an operation by providing a check signal to the TRI1 board switching control unit(20) for controlling a switching of TRI1 board and the TRI3 board switching control unit(22) for controlling a switching of TRI3 board. A provision task(14) is a task for providing a switching control and a result received from the TRI1 board switching control unit(20) and the TRI3 board switching control unit(22) to an operator as information. |
