PURPOSE: A brake assembly for a rail road vehicle is provided to improve the buffering effect with respect to thermal stress generated when operating a brake system, prevent or reduce the heat transmission from a brake disc to a hub, and improve the emission of heat for preventing the generation of cracks. CONSTITUTION: A brake assembly for a rail road vehicle includes a hub(10) integrally formed with a cylindrical main body(14) fixed to an axle, a flange(16) extended from a side of the main body to be in the shape of arc, and a mounting part(18) formed at a front end part of the flange with a plurality of mounting holes(20), and a brake disc(12) integrally formed with a fixing part(24) to be fixed to the mounting part of the hub and having a plurality of fixing holes(26) corresponding to the mounting holes, two brake compression parts(30) integrated with the fixing part facing to each other to be compressed by brake pads of a brake system, and a plurality of ribs disposed with an acute deflection angle(a) with respect to a radial direction shaft extended between the brake compression parts outwardly in a radial direction.
