PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method, which improve the readout performance of decentralized data by reducing disk miscaching caused by a load decentralizing process in a state wherein variance in readout load is generated among disk devices with respect to a decentralized data access device composed of noncommon type clusters. SOLUTION: Original data and copy data are arranged successively in a secondary storage device to constitute decentralized data 4-1 to 4-N, which are arranged on disk 3-1 to 3-N connected to data processors 2-1 to 2-N. According to the loads on the data processors, readout ranges of the decentralized data that they are put in charge of are reduced or changed so that areas connecting with current readout ranges are successively read out.
