PURPOSE: Provided are a cathode active material slurry composition for a lithium secondary battery and a process for producing a cathode by using the composition, the cathode active material slurry composition can improve lifetime of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The cathode active material slurry composition comprises a cathode active material, 0.05-30wt% of a compound containing an element selected from a transition metal, an alkali metal, an alkali earth metal, or a semi-metal, and an organic solvent. And, the process for producing the cathode comprises the steps of: mixing the cathode active material and the compound; adding the organic solvent to the mixture to make the cathode active material slurry composition; spreading the cathode active material slurry composition on a current collecting body; drying and rolling the current collecting body. |
