DISK CARTRIDGE STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge structure which can surely prevent the generation of chipping powder by contact of a recording medium disk and the inside surfaces of upper and lower half shells and the damage or the like of the recording surfaces of the recording medium disk and the method for using the same. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge structure is provided with a cartridge body 11 which is internally formed with a disk housing part 12 by mating of a pair of the upper and lower half shells 4 and 16, the disk-shaped recording medium disk 18 which is freely rotatably housed in the disk housing part 12, a shutter member 24 for opening and closing apertures 20 and 22 for recording and reproducing of a nearly U shape for recording and/or reproducing formed at a pair of the upper and lower half shells 14 and 16 and wear resistant members 38 and 40 which are mounted at annular points on the inside surfaces of the upper and lower half shells 4 and 16 at the points corresponding to the outer peripheral part of the recording medium disk 18 exclusive of the apertures 20 and 22 for recording and reproducing.
