PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the progress condition on charging at a glance by displaying a current charge level with a color corresponding to the level by a device and method for displaying a charged state that displays the charged state, when a secondary battery is to be charged. SOLUTION: This charged state display is provided with a color liquid crystal display 4, a charge start detecting means 3 for detecting the start of the charging of a secondary battery 6, means 3 and 2 for detecting the amount of charging that detect the amount of charging of the secondary battery 6, by receiving the detection of the start of the charging of the secondary battery 6, and a display color control means 2 for changing the display color of the color liquid crystal display 4, according to the amount of detection charge of the means 3 and 2 for detecting the amount of charging.
