PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PWM motor drive in which resolution of the duty value of a PWM duty waveform fed to a motor can be enhanced through simple circuitry without requiring any analog signal. SOLUTION: A PWM generator 7 generates a PWM duty waveform DUTYa corresponding to an 8 bit duty set value signal DTx and a resolution enhancing circuit 8 generates a PWM duty waveform DUTYc by prolonging the duty width of the PWM duty waveform DUTYa by one period. The PWM duty waveforms DUTYa, DUTYc are mixed depending on a 2 bit duty set value signal DTy to produce a PWM duty waveform DUTYb.
