<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good electrostatic latent image developing toner less liable to cause untransfer from an electrostatic charge retaining body to a transfer material (vermiculation) and to provide a method of measuring the circularity of the toner used when the toner is provided. SOLUTION: In the electrostatic charge image developing toner, when the volume average particle diameter of the toner is represented by M, toner particles each having a particle diameter in the range form >4μm to <(M+2)μm satisfy at least one requirement selected from the group comprising the requirements SF1, SF2 and SF3; average circularity (SF1)=(the sum of the circularity of each particle)/(all particles) (1), circularity (<0.95) (SF2)=(the number of particles each having a circularity of <0.95)/(the number of all particles)×100<41.5(%) (2) and shape index (SF3)=SF1×(100-SF2)/100>0.56 (3). In the expressions 1 and 2, the circularity is defined by the expression (circularity)=(the peripheral length of a circle having the same area as the toner)/(the peripheral length of the toner) (4). The method of measuring the circularity of the above toner is provided as well.</p> |
