PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cock capable of switching flow of gas fluid by only intended operations of a handle and a lever. SOLUTION: When a handle 5 is moved from an origin position to a prescribed position or from the prescribed position to the origin position, the handle 5 is rotated by only initially applying pressing force to the handle 5, and subsequently, hands may be separated from the handle 5 when pressing force is not required to continue to be applied and the handle 5 can not be rotated any more. In this case, when pressing force is imparted against energizing force of a spring 10 to the handle 5 in a holding mechanism, engagement of a non-movable member 6 and an upper movable member 9 is released. When a rotating operation is further performed, a ball 23 is rotated via the upper movable member 9 and a lower movable member 15. If the hands are separated from the handle 5 as mentioned above at a place with an abutted projection 12a at one end of a circular arc groove 20c, energizing force of a spring 10 is acted, the non-movable member 6 and the upper movable member 9 are engaged. Subsequently, the handle 5 is not rotated only by a rotating operation.
