The snail trap has a lower plate (1) to hold lure materials, and a cover (2). A gap is between the cover and the lower plate, to allow the snails to enter the chamber (4) formed between them. The cover (2) is drawn over the edge of the lower plate (1), to prevent the lure materials being washed out into the surrounding soil. A rod (3) is at the cover (2) to mark its location, and press the trap into the soil.
