PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal with excellent operability that has a scanner function and a facsimile transmission function. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal is provided with an image sensor that reads an image, an image processing circuit that generates image data from the read image, an image memory that stores the image data, a wireless communication circuit that has a facsimile transmission reception function, an operation panel with various keys, and a display panel to display selectable processing and images. The image memory stores image data of a read image and that are received as a file with a name. The information terminal has an operation mode where a user selects objects of facsimile transmission among the stored image data and all the image data selected as objects are transmitted at once and the information terminal also has an operation mode where processing such as trimming and composition is applied to the image data.
