PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera system by which a photographer and a person to be photographed can easily and surely discriminate whether the video camera system is in a video recording operation or in a standby state. SOLUTION: The video camera system is provided with a video camera body 22 of a prescribed shape, a finder 23 provided in standstill to the video camera body 22, and a video recording switch drive means 32 that is provided to the video camera body 22, turns on a video recording start switch by being moved in operation and causes a change understood at a glance in terms of outward appearance to the video camera body 22.
