PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device, that is capable of high-frequency operation by making soft the turn-off of a switching element for reducing switching loss and noise, at the same time, regenerating energy which is accumulated in a charge accumulation capacitor, when turning off the switching element for reducing the loss as a whole. SOLUTION: An auxiliary switching element is turned on at turn-on, energy being charged to the charge accumulation capacitor is moved to a charge regeneration transformer that is composed of a flyback transformer, and the auxiliary transformer is turned off, thus regenerating energy which is accumulated in the charge regeneration transformer to a DC input power supply.
