PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly electronic image pickup unit, by which one fitting means is adequately selected among the plurality of means in the electronic image pickup unit having the plurality of fitting means. SOLUTION: The unit is provided with the plurality of fitting means 22a and 22b which recording media 23a and 23b are fitted so as to be freely attachable/detachable, a storage means 20 for storing selecting information concerning which one among the plurality of fitting means is selected in the write to the succeeding time recording medium and selecting means 15 and 25 for selecting one fitting means from the plurality of means based on selecting information which is stored in a storage means.
