PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound producing device which allows the efficient regulation of delicate sound volume. SOLUTION: The sound producing device has sound producing bodies 201 and projecting part operating means 300 having projecting parts 301 abutting on the sound producing bodies 201. The projecting part operating means 300 operate the projecting parts 301 to pluck the sound producing bodies 201, by which sounds are produced from the sound producing bodies 201. The sound producing device is constituted to have a abutment position moving means 400 for moving the abutment positions of the sound producing bodies 201 and the projecting parts 301.
