PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which is usable for a long time, having high sealing property for an electrolytic solution and ensuring full prevention of the corrosion of a metal foil layer due to acid and separation between the metal foil layer and a thermoplastic resin layer due to the corrosion of the metal foil layer over a long period, even when acid is produced with the penetration of water. SOLUTION: A sealing bag 30 for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery 100 is formed of a packaging material 38 which has an engineering plastic layer 32, at least one metal foil layers 34, at least one acid trapping layer 36 laminated inside the metal foil layer, and at least one thermoplastic resin water repellent layer 37 laminated inside the acid trapping layer. The acid trapping layer is formed of a thermoplastic resin and a metal compound of one type selected from among the groups consisting of 2-25 parts by weight of magnesium oxide or hydrotalcite kinds with respect to 100 parts by weight of thermoplastic resin. |
