The separator has a housing (10) with inlet (20) for the vapour stream and separate outlets for the purified gaseous components and separated liquid components. The outlet (30) for the liquid components is radially spaced from the axis of rotation (50) about which the vapour stream is rotated. Independent claim describes use of separator for oil separation in crank housing ventilation system whereby fluid components are discharged radially spaced from axis of rotation.
