PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having a face plate consisting of a thin material having a high bouncing coefficient. SOLUTION: The golf club having a club head having a ball hitting plate of a thickness ranging from 0.025 to 0.635 cm consists of three pieces, i.e., the face 72, a sole 64 and a crown 62. The respective pieces consist of a titanium material. The ball hitting plate of the club head has an aspect ratio smaller than 1.7 and has such concentric regions of different thicknesses where the part of the largest thickness exists at the center. The club head consists of the titanium material and has a volume range from 175 to 400 cm3, a weight ratio from 165 to 300 grams and an area ranging from 25.806 to 48.387 cm2 (from 4.00 to 7.50 inch2).
